B1 Bomber Hangar

About This Project

Lockheed Martin has been specifying steel fibers routinely for many of their slabs, so when it came time to build a new hangar for the mighty B1 bomber, they specified 50 pounds of Novocon® Xorex® per yard. Lafarge and SI Concrete Systems teamed up again to deliver the SFRC for the hangar. Due to national security concerns on the base, actual photographs of the hangar are not allowed, but Lockheed Martin is very pleased with the performance of the Xorex steel fiber reinforced concrete.
